SchoolNet in Kurdistan

Internet is a great source of information: whatever you need to know, you can find something somewhere on it. They also say that you can communicate with friends and other people on social sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

It may not be a good idea to give students total freedom to go wherever they want on the internet. Sometimes, there is ‘information’ that is rubbish, many websites are not just useless: they are actually really bad.

If a SchoolNet Kurdistan is created, access should be available only to websites that are accepted by it.

Q5. B- (Choose ONE) (12 Marks)

1. Silver’s Visit

Sliver was carrying a white flag when he first came to the stockade. A man was with Silver. They came to the stockade to talk and make peace. Silver wanted map of Treasure Island. In return, he promised to leave them somewhere safe ashore or they could stay here with half of the supplies and he promise to tell the first ship they see to come and get them. Captain Smollett didn’t agree to these offers. In the end, the captain went away angrily. An hour later, a group of mutineers appeared from the woods running and shooting towards the stockade.

2. The Black Spot

The black spot is a sort of warning. An old blind man brought it to the Admiral Benbow. He was called Pew. He wore a cloth over his eyes and nose and was bent over. He asked Jim to lead him to the captain. He gave the black spot to Bill to tell him they are coming for him and what he has got. It was written ‘Ten O’clock’ in the black spot. Bill fell face first onto the floor and died after he had read the black spot.
